MaKiNG stands for MArtin KevIN and Guy, the names of the directors of the company: Martin Fisher , Kevin Oliver Jones & Guy James .
All three have been involved in Musical Theatre for many years and decided they were tired of hearing the same old songs recorded (there is only so many times you can listen to Memory - no matter how good the singer is!?) and so Making Records set out to record modern musical theatre artistes and select material from brilliant new shows and songwriters.
Our first signing was the brilliant Julie Atherton, star of the West End musical Avenue Q, her album, "A Girl of Few Words" has 12 songs written by Charles Miller, the composer of many new and exciting musicals.
Charles has also composed all the songs on Lindsey Danvers CD "We Define Each Other" available through our shop. Charles' songbook is also available.
After the successes of our Musical Theatre artistes we now have a label for artistes that write their own material - please contact us if you think you have something that may interest us. Look out for our latest artiste Miranda Wilford - whose album "Love Logic Project" will be out in the summer.
