Martin Fisher – Producer

Martin Fisher’s love of recording began with a tiny Fostex X-15 four-track and an SM-58 purchased when he was 17. This was used to record demos with his band, ‘Humour The Drunk’, backing tracks for local musicals in his hometown of Cleethorpes, and eventually the sound design for several plays at University in Swansea and at the Edinburgh Festival. Whilst at college studying Drama and English, he also used this early ‘home studio’ to compose and record an alternate soundtrack for Lotte Reinigers 1933 version of ‘Carmen’, for which he was awarded a First.

The current Digital Audio studio has been making music since 1997. In that time, Martin has produced over 250 songs for singer/songwriters, opera singers and musical theatre actors, as well as many voice over demos for actors and backing tracks for vocalists. Martin has designed the sound for theatre productions such as Gangster No.1 (Kings Head), Arturo Ui (Bridewell), Four by 4 (Soho theatre), Body Checks (Etcetera), Hotel Paradiso (Mountview Theatre), Life (Soho Theatre and Gilded Balloon), Into The Hoods (Peacock) and 2001 A Yule Odyssey, Murder in Bridgport and Goldenballs (all at the Old Red Lion). Martin also composed the music for ‘Men’, which ran at the Theatre Museum and Pleasance Dome, Edinburgh, and ‘The Timekeepers’ (Old Red Lion).
